Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American performer and actress. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed questions of racial identity and sexual orientation. Then she expanded her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora started to study hip-hop during her teens. While in the school, she focused on journalism and woman's studies. She also studied Mandarin briefly in Beijing. The focus on music until she graduated. Her My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a huge hit on the Internet and was later featured on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits, such as body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The latter track was tied to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Her resume contained both an author and musician. She was now looking to expand her career into acting. In addition to early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land her first major role in a number of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by in Fina We Trust in June of that year.
